Ohio University Southern is offering a new summer learning experience for Tri-State teens that focuses on both leadership and diversity. This 2019 Building Bridges Summer Institute (BBSI) is free to attend for those who apply by Saturday.
The Institute focuses on self-reflection, building community and engagement. A select group of 30 students from diverse backgrounds and life experiences will be led by a team of trained facilitators.
BBSI will help students identify with their own culture, become informed about other cultures and engage in dialogue on current topics. This inaugural Institute will be held June 25-28 on the campus of Ohio University Southern in Ironton.
To participate, high school students must be entering 9th through 12th grades or be a 2019 graduating senior. Students must pre-register to be accepted. Free continental breakfast and lunch will be served each day.
