Summer is in full swing and there’s no shortage of events coming up in Lawrence County to enjoy.

On June 29, the Ohio River Revival is set for the Ironton riverfront, bringing a solid 12 hours of music and vendors, with no cost for admission.

Ironton aLive and Studimo Productions are again producing the Ironton Tuesday Night Summer concert series, which will feature a diverse lineup of talent each week.

Also taking part at the Farmer’s Market will be a performance from Cyndi’s Dance Studio, set for 11 a.m. this Saturday.

On Saturday, June 29, taking part on the same day as the Ohio River Revival, will be the return of Taste of Ironton, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., giving attendees a chance to sample the city’s restaurants.

In South Point, People for the Point will again host their Party in the Park event at the village’s park, from July 5-6, featuring activities for the entire family.

And further east, one of the centerpiece of the county will kick off on Sunday, July 7, with the opening parade and ceremonies scheduled.

While there’s nothing wrong with a vacation trip in the summer, we hope families also consider making plans here locally to enjoy the summer activities.
