Opening at Hutton Wayfarer Gallery postponed

SOUTH POINT — An opening reception is scheduled from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday for a former Marshall University art professor’s work.

Laure Williamson, who lives in both Louisiana and Hinton, West Virginia, will have a series of paintings, “West Virginia, A Clear View,” on display at the gallery, owned by Robert and Robin Hutton.

She be doing a question and answer talk at 4 p.m.

The exhibit will run through Aug. 17.

In addition, the gallery’s regular collection of the works of Robert Hutton will be rotated and have new pieces on display.

The gallery is open to visitors Monday through Saturday by appointment, which can be set up by contacting the couple through the Facebook page or emailing Robin at rhutton@zoominternet.net. It is located at 52 Private Dr. 250, off County Road 144, about five minutes from the Solida Road roundabout.
