Barbara Castle
1945 — July 3, 2019
Barbara Castle, 74, of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away July 3, 2019.
Barbara was born in Ashland, Kentucky, the only child to the union of Calvin and Lorraine (nee Johnson) Creech.
She was married 50 years to the late Billy Castle and was mother of Joseph, grandmother of precious grandchildren, Grady and Josie, both of whom she loved very much, cousin of Roger and Connie, of Kentucky, and special friend of Bob and Georgia Dixon, Colleen Sylvester and her son Joey, whom Barbara loved as a grandson.
Barbara retired from National City Bank, after 27 years of dedicated service. At Barbara’s request, no services will be held and there will be private interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, with her beloved Billy.
Jane Davidson
July 2, 1929 — July 11, 2019
Jane L. Davidson, 90, of Ironton, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by those she loved.
Jane was born July 2, 1929 in Ironton, a daughter of the late Louis H. and Edna Unrue Lutz. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Howard and John Lutz, and her brother-in-law, Harry M. Osborne.
Jane was a lifelong resident of Ironton and a graduate of St. Joseph High School, class of 1947. She worked as a secretary for the former Allied Chemical Plant in South Point and retired from the Law Department of Ashland Oil after 35 years of service. Jane was of the Catholic faith and was very active after retirement with the Ashland Arcoettes.
Jane loved to make people laugh and put on many variety shows. She was always on the funny side making people be happy and laugh. If you ever met Jane, you would never forget her, she was a friend for life. Jane loved everyone, unless she told you differently. She will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Mark Davidson and wife Carla, of Belton, Missouri, Christopher Davidson and wife Jan, of Draper, Utah, Steve Davidson and wife Laura, of Ashland; sister, Martha Osborne, of Flatwoods; grandchildren, Stephanie (Stefan) Davidson, Louis Davidson, Steven Davidson, Eric (Shelby) Davidson and Mark (Abbi) Davidson; great grandchildren, Andrew Davidson, Mason Davidson, Lincoln Davidson and Rowan Davidson; and a host of extended family and good friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. today at the Calvary Cemetery in Ironton by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Visitation was the preceding day at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.

James Hutchinson
Sept. 24, 1953 — July 13, 2019
James C. Hutchinson, Jr., 65, of Pedro, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Hutchinson was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Portsmouth, Virginia, a son to the late James C., Sr. and Ann L. (Keating) Blair. He is survived by his wife Donna (Friend) Hutchinson, whom he married Nov. 26, 1985.
Mr. Hutchinson attended Bay Side High School, Virginia Beach, Virginia and was a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served on submarine duty. He was a laborer for Grape Vine Galore. Mr. Hutchinson was the Chief of Decatur Fire Department for 20 years, he was a member of Hazmat and the National Fire Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved bonfires with his family and friends. He was a great family man and was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roy Collins, Cletis Collins and J.C. Hutchinson; a daughter, Janette Gollihugh; his stepmother, Anna Hutchinson; five sisters, one brother, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ruth Daniel, 94, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, July 11, 2019.

John E. Holbrook, 78, of Kenova, West Virginia and South Point, Ohio died Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will be at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova.

Randy Tredway
Randy Tredway, 66, of Willow Wood, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virgnia. He is survived by his wife Jane Tredway.
Funeral service was Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Mike Triplett and Pastor Harold Hamlin. Burial followed in Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio.
