ROME TOWNSHIP — The Wyngate at RiversEdge is set to mark half a decade in operation.
“We’ll be having our fifth anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 24,” Julie Poff, activities director for the senior living community, said.
She said the festivities will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
“It will also be our Mayberry Day,” she said, adding that there will be games, entertainment, beans and cornbread, and a visit from Good News Llamas, of Chesapeake, who will bring their animals for people to meet.
The Lawrence County site is one of two facilities the company has in the Tri-State region for senior housing.
The Wyngate Senior Living Community in Barboursville, West Virginia opened several years earlier.
The Rome Township location regularly hosts open events for the community, often around holidays.
