SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS —Two Tri-State residents have graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

U.S. Air Force Airman Jonathan B. Elliott completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Elliott is the son of John Elliott of Huntington, West Virginia, and Kimberly and Patrick Frasher of Proctorville. He is the grandson of Donna McDaniel of Proctorville, and Donna Elliott of Davisville, West Virginia. He is a 2019 graduate of Fairland High School, Proctorville.

Also graduating from the same basic military training is U.S. Air Force Airman Ethan A. Hayes. He is the son of Ira Hayes of Pedro and is a 2019 graduate of Rock Hill High School, Ironton.
