Esther Hart

Feb. 23, 1934 – Aug. 3, 2019

Esther Eileen Hart, 85, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Hart was born in Scioto County on Feb. 23, 1934, a daughter to the late Clarence W. and Geneva (Lavender) Hill.

She was also preceded in death on March 9, 2016, by her husband, Earl W. Hart, whom she married Dec. 20, 1974.

Mrs. Hart was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School and retired from the Goodyear Atomic Plant in 1976, after 23-plus years of service. She enjoyed collecting antiques and dolls and loved spending time with family and friends. She was also owner of a Christmas tree farm in Scioto County; and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, Oscar McGraw; stepmother, Wilba Hill; a brother, Donald Hill; and a brother-in-law, James F. Logan.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Bob) Self of Coal Grove, Tami Spurlock of Ironton and Tania (Mike) Davis of Fairfield; a sister, Beverly Logan of Stout; two granddaughters, Tracy R. Self of Wheatfield, Indiana and Heather (Grant) Taylor of Ironton; three grandsons, Shayne Self of Ashland, Kentucky, Travis Self of Newport, Kentucky and William Jonathon Davis of Dalles, Oregon; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date.

Debra Conley

Oct. 21, 1957 – Aug. 4, 2019

Debra Darlene Conley, 61, of Coal Grove, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Debra was born Oct. 21, 1957, in Ironton, a daughter to the late Ferdie and Mabel (Brown) Abrams. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Danny Conley, whom she married Nov. 26, 1973.

Debra was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Dana (Chris) Crabtree of Kitts Hill and Melissa (Frank McCann) Conley of Coal Grove; son, Danny (Kathy) Conley II; special grandson, Joseph McCann; and many other family members and friends, who will miss her dearly.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Henry Milam

Henry Milam, 37, of Crown City, died Saturday Aug. 3, 2019 at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held 2 – 3 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 conducting military rites at 2 p.m.
