NELSONVILLE — Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville will host the Ohio State Old Time Fiddlers Competition at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16. Registration for fiddlers is open now at paradeofthehills.org. Tickets are available by calling 740-753-1924 or online at www.stuartsoperahouse.org. The competition is part of Nelsonville’s Parade of the Hills.

The first round of competition decides the winner of each age group, who then continue on to the championship round, and compete for the title of grand champion, as well as an additional $300 and a plaque. Register to be a competitor and get more information at paradeofthehills.org.

There are 10 spots available in each age group. Depending on the total number of registrants, entries on the day of the contest may be allowed, but don’t take the chance, register today. The age groups include 12 and under, 13-18, 19-54, and 55 and over.
