Panthers win despite Easterling’s performance

PINE GROVE — The Chesapeake Panthers took the cake, but Brayden Easterling cut out a big slice for himself.
The Panthers won the duel golf match on Thursday at the Ironton Country Club but Easterling came away with medalist honors.
Easterling shot a 48 for the Fighting Tigers who had a 236 team score.
Chesapeake won the match with a 196 total.
Jacob Lemley and Christian Hall each carded a 48 to lead the Panthers.
Jackson McComas was just two shots back at 49 and Austin Jackson had a 51 while Dawson Boster had a 56 and Titus Brooks a 68.
Besides Easterling, Logan Price shot a 64 for Ironton, Noah Woods and Bela Delawder each had rounds of 66, Makayla Collins 70 and Trinity Littlejohn a 72 for Ironton.
