Two Ironton stores are planning a fall festival for the first week of October.
Pumpkins on Vernon will take place between Third and Fourth streets down town and will run from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
The event is being organized by Denise Coleman, owner of Cardinal Wishes Antiques and Valerie Freeman, of Treasure From the Valley gift shop, both located on Vernon Street.
Coleman said they are still finalizing details, but plan to have a family-friendly atmosphere with many activities for children.
“We hope to have things like face painting and entertainment,” she said. “And lots of things for the kids to do.”
The event will also feature vendors with handmade items and food, as well as live music.
