The Lawrence County Educational Services Center was recently honored for its fiscal responsibility.

Treasurer Brenda Hill said Ohio Auditor Keith Faber presented an award earlier this month to the Lawrence County Schools Council of Government, the fiscal agent of the ESC.

“This is an audit for the 2018 fiscal year and they didn’t find anything wrong,” Hill said.

Hill said the award came in part because of improvements at the ESC.

“We’ve had a lot of changes,” she said. “There have been changes in policy, how we do business and how we account for transactions made.”
