Playing the best team in the conference is tough. Playing without a senior starter doesn’t help the situation.
With Faith Mahlmeister out due to illness, the St. Joseph Lady Flyers were faced with a lot of obstacles as they hosted the Portsmouth Notre Dame Lady Titans in a Southern Ohio Conference volleyball game on Thursday.
The end result was the Lady Titans posting a straight sets win, 25-8, 25-8 and 25-9.
Statistic leaders for St. Joseph were: Jadyn Green four kills and 10 digs; Gracie Damron one kills, one solo block and four digs; Bella Whaley one kill and six digs; Emilee Blankenship two kills.
The Lady Flyers play in a tri-match at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairland against Huntington St. Joseph and Fairland.
