Ironton sponsoring
basketball academy
The Ironton High School basketball coaching staffs will be sponsoring The Fighting Tiger Basketball Academy in September and October.
WHEN: Wednesdays on Sept.18 and 25, Oct. 2,9, 16 and 23.
TIME/PLACE: 3:45-5 p.m. — Ironton High School Conley Center
Transportation will be available for Ironton Middle School students.
WHO: Open to all students (boys & girls) in Grades 2nd – 7th grades regardless of school.
COST: $30 for all six classes or $10 per class (Students who pre-register receive a basketball)
INSTRUCTORS: Ironton High School boys and girls basketball coaching staffs and players.
GOAL: To provide fundamental skill instruction in the areas of ball handling, shooting, passing and defense before the basketball season starts.
BENEFITS: Affordable skill development, T-shirt to each participant, free admission into one Ironton High School boys and girls basketball game and an attendance award

Shawnee St. to host
softball prospects camp
PORTSMOUTH — The softball program at Shawnee State University will be hosting a SSU Prospect Camp from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Portsmouth High School for ages 13-18.
Camp fee is $60 and prospects will go through several stations of workouts that will be set up through the day.
Campers who attend will receive a t-shirt.

The Cincinnati Reds’ ticket hours are: non-game days Monday-Friday 9-5 p.m. Saturday 10-4 p.m. (not open October-February); Game Days 9 a.m. until end of the 7th inning.
