The St. Joseph Lady Flyers were playing the top team in the Southern Ohio Conference and the Portsmouth Clay Lady Panthers lived up to their billing.
Clay took a straight sets volleyball win over the Lady Flyers on Thursday, 25-12, 25-13 and 25-17.
Top statistic leader for St. Joseph were:
Emma Whaley 6 digs; Jade DeGiorgio two aces and five digs; Chloe Sheridan one ace, two assists and two digs; Faith Mahlmeister one ace and one block assist; Gracie Damron two aces, one kill, two blocks and two block assists; Bella Whaley one kill and seven digs; Emilee Blankenship one ace and one kill; Jadyn Green one ace, two kills, one block assist and six digs.
Next week, the Lady Flyers visit Symmes Valley at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and host Sciotoville East at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
