Murphy helps spark Lady Hornets’ win

COAL GROVE — The Coal Grove Lady Hornets have their own version of Murphy’s Law.
If something can go right, Kaleigh Murphy will have something to do with it.
Murphy turned in a big game as the Lady Hornets swept the Ashland Holy Family Lady Irish 25-12, 25-10 and 25-15 on Monday night.
Murphy had a huge game for the Lady Hornets with 21 points with 12 of the points on ace serves. She also registered seven kills.
Rylee Harmon racked up 13 kills, Addi Dillow had seven points with four aces and 11 kills.
Halley Booth tallied 19 assists and Caitlin Dillon had six points and 14 assists.
In the jayvee game, Coal Grove won in straight sets 25-16, 25-21.
Tyera Pemberton had eight points with four aces, Kennadee Keaton six points with five aces, Kayleigh Rowe six points and Maddy Hensley recorded three kills.
