PINE GROVE — Joyce Lewis just wasn’t in the mood to share.
On a day when there were half a dozen chances to win at the weekly Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association Tuesday outing, Lewis came away with two wins on the Ironton Country Club course.
Hostess Pat Riggs conducted a brief business meeting to start the day and then served breakfast before posting the six events for the day’s competition.
Following the round of golf, it was time for lunch and Riggs announced the event winners with Lewis getting her two wins while Sharon Fox, Lana Moore, Margaret Donley and Becky Dillow all won one event each.
Lana Moore will serve as hostess next week and the luncheon will be a covered dish affair with food brought by members.
The Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is planning its fall league party and End of the Year tournaments.
New members are always welcomed and persons do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the Ladies Nine Hole League and play the nine-hole course in Pine Grove.
