Harold Chaffin Jr.

June 19, 1954 – Sept. 19, 2019

Harold E. “Bud” Chaffin Jr., 65, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Bud was born June 19, 1954, in Bowling Green, Ohio, a son to the late Harold E. Chaffin, Sr. and Helen Hutchinson Wilburn.

Bud was a 1972 graduate of Boyd County High School and was a heavy equipment operator for Local 181 – Operators Engineers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Claude and Fannie Hutchinson; paternal grandparents, Ernie and Ruth Chaffin; nephew, Brad Cordle; and stepbrothers, Glen Cordle and Calhoun Wilburn.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Kyle Chaffin, of Rush, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Regan McKenzie, Zoey Brooke and Landon Kyle Chaffin, all of Rush, Kentucky; sister, Barbara (Charlie) Hall, of Ashland, Kentucky; two brothers, Steve (Paula) Cordle, of Rush, Kentucky and Rocky (Sharon) Cordle, of Wheelersburg; and special companion, Veronica Justice, of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton. Burial will follow in Harmon Cemetery, Louisa, Kentucky and visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. To offer the Chaffin family condolences, please visit, www.phillipsfuneralhome.net

Linda Hall

March 23,1947 – June 21, 2019

Linda Kay Hall passed away June 21, 2019. Linda is survived by her nephew, Brant Hall; her sister-in-law Gloria Hall. Linda retired from Rock Hill School District and was a graduate from Morehead State University. Preceding her in death was her brother, Larry Hall; and her parents, Arthur Ralph Hall and Opal Hall.

Susan Adkins

Susan Elizabeth Roff Adkins, 53 of Scotttown, died Sept. 18, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Adkins.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Hall Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.

Cynthia Morrison

Cynthia Lynne Morrison, 53, of South Point, died Thursday Sept. 19, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Morrison.

Funeral services will be noon on Monday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Larry Casteel officiating. Burial will follow at White Cottage Cemetery, South Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
