Gerald McCollister
Dec. 28, 1930 – Sept. 30, 2019
Gerald Robert McCollister, 88, of Ironton, passed away peacefully, Monday, Sept. 30, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. McCollister was born Dec. 28, 1930 in Ironton, a son to the late Harley E. and Kathryn (Heib) McCollister. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ramona Ann (Lloyd) McCollister, whom he married April 1, 1955.
Mr. McCollister was a 1948 Ironton High School graduate and a United States Navy veteran. He was a retired electrician from Ironton Iron. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Arthur and Mildred Heslop; and a brother, Donald McCollister.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert “Bob” (Faye) McCollister, of Ironton, and Brian (Jenny) McCollister, of Fishers, Indiana; three daughters, Monica (Robert) Chapman, of Cincinnati, Melanie (Harry) Li, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Anna McCollister Slipp, of Washington, D.C.; a brother: Joseph McCollister, of Ironton; and a twin sister, Geraldine Saunders, of Ironton.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Monday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. 6th St., Ironton, with Pastor Eric Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be provided by V.F.W. Post #8850. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Marjorie Payne
A memorial service celebrating the life of Marjorie Ellen Payne, 93, of Newark, will be held at 4 p.m., Oct. 13, 2019 at Second Presbyterian Church, 42 E. Church St., Newark, with Rev. Todd Tracy as celebrant.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark.
A proverbial lady, whose life was centered around church and caring for others, Marjorie passed away Sept. 29, 2019 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Ironton, to the late C. Stanley and Mariam Porter.
Marjorie was a 65-year member and active contributor of Second Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Stephen Minister, a member of P.E.O. Chapter DL, Monday Talks and Moundbuilders Country Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and for her caring and nurturing spirit.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, A.T. and Pandora Payne and Mariam “Miki” and Roger Hempleman; grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley (Mark) Van Dellen, Mollie (Troy) Blasius, Hannah (Ben) Rosema, Ellen (Brandon) Akey, and Tyler Hempleman; and great-grandchildren, Graham, Sutton, Emerie, A.J., and Piper.
In addition to her parents, Marjie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Alpha Thomas Payne Jr.; and one brother, Thomas.

Peggy Morrison
July 2, 1960—Oct.1, 2019
Peggy Sue Morrison, 59, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Ironton on July 2, 1960 to Ora Joyce Ash Malone and the late Carl E. Malone.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Morrison, whom she married May 12, 1999. Peggy was a 1978 graduate of Rock Hill High School.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband Steve, “the love of her life”; mother, Joyce; brother, John (Jan); nephew, John Scott (Tammy); and great nephews, Cameron and Cody.
There will be no public visitation. The family will welcome friends to the graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Scott Jenkins conducting the service.

Gladys Mae McCoy, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at Teays Valley Center, Hurricane, West Virgina.
Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, with visitation one hour before at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow the service at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller.
