Fall Block Party

The Family Life Center, 209 N. Second St., Ironton, will have a fall block party. The family event is free and there will be games, music, prizes and food. There will be a giveaway of coats, hats and scarves.

Levy Committee

The Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities Levy Committee will meet at 5:15 p.m. until approximately 6:15 p.m. at its levy headquarters located at 315 S. Third St., Ironton. Meetings are open to the public. For anyone who would like to attend or join a subcommittee to help support the levy, visit the headquarters during the meeting time.

ESC Meeting

The Lawrence County Educational Service Center Governing Board will meet at 2 p.m. at the Lawrence County Educational Service Center, 304 N. Second St., Ironton.

Symmes Valley BOE Meeting

The Symmes Valley Local School District Board of Education will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. in the high school lecture hall, at 14778 State Route 141, Willow Wood. The special meeting is a reschedule of the Oct. 14 regular board meeting.

Church Women United will celebrate World Community Day at noon at the Community Of Christ Church, 310 Ellison St., Ironton. The theme this year is “Resolve to Love.”
