PEDRO — The Sugarcreek Christian Academy Lady Eagles were soaring.
The Lady Eagles fly past the Ohio Valley Christian Lady Defenders 44-23 on Thursday.
Emma Harper scored 12 points, 4 steals and had 4 rebounds to lead a balanced Sugarcreek attack. Lexie Payne added 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Charlee Long led the Lady Eagles with 8 rebounds and Chloe Long had 3 assists and 3 steals.
Christina Dong scored 10 points for OVC.
Chloe Long and Rachel Gillespie had 4 points each in the first quarter as Sugarcreek went up 18-0.
Emma Harper had 5 points in the second quarter as the Lady Eagles extended the lead to 29-4 at the half.
In the third quarter, Harper had 7 points in the third quarter to give the Lady Eagles a comfortable 44-10 lead.
On Monday, the Lady Eagles host Huntington St. Joseph.
