PEDRO — Dariyonne Bryant and Matthew Fraulini didn’t do it all by themselves, but they tried.
Bryant scored 24 points and Fraulini had 23 as the Portsmouth Trojans downed the Rock Hill Redmen 77-65 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Friday.
Rock Hill had its own tandem going as Brayden Malone scored 18 points and Braden Stamper netted 17. Garrett Miller added 10 points for the Redmen (3-7, 0-4).
Bryant had a 3-pointer and scored 8 points and Fraulini hit a pair of 3-pointers as Portsmouth (4-6, 1-3) took a 19-11 first quarter lead.
The scoring went wild in the second quarter as Fraulini had another pair of 3-pointers and Bryant scored 8 points as Portsmouth outscored Rock Hill 28-22 to lead 47-33 at the half.
Malone scored 8 points to keep the Redmen close.
The Trojans got two more treys from Fraulini while Donovan Carr and Jessie Dixon each had 3-pointers as they stretched the lead to 63-48 in the third quarter.
Stamper got the hot hand for Rock Hill as he hit a 3-pointer and scored 11 points.
Rock Hill put together a mild comeback in the fourth quarter as Malone scored 7 points and Stamper hit a pair of trifectas.
But Bryant had 8 points and Fraulini added 4 more to help the Trojans keep the lead.
Malone had 7 rebounds and Owen Hankins 6. Rock Hill shot 25-of-47 from the field for 53.2 percent.
On Tuesday, Rock Hill host South Point and Portsmouth goes to Gallipolis.
