MLK Day Celebration

The Greenup and Boyd counties branch of the NAACP will host a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration from 10 a.m.-noon at the Ashland Transportation Center. Keynote speaker will be the Bishop Isaac Glover, of New Jerusalem Christian Center, Ironton.

The Rock Hill Local School District will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the BOE offices.

Meet the Candidates

The Lawrence County Meet the Candidates Committee will have a Meet the Candidates Night at 7 p.m. at Fairland West Elementary in Rome Township. Candidates for offices in the March primary ballot will appear. Event is free and open to the public.

Ironton City Council

Ironton City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in council chambers on the third floor of the City Center. It open to the public.

Coal Grove Council

The Coal Grove Village Council will meet at 6 p.m. at village hall.

ESC Meetings

The Lawrence County Educational Service Center will have a records commission meeting at 2 p.m. at the ESC building, 304 N. Second St., Ironton. The governing board will then have its organizational meeting and special meeting.
