Lawrence County DD will have a town hall meeting, to communicate about developmental disabilities services and the role they play in the county, at 6 p.m. at the Rome Township maintenance building, 9644 County Road 107.

Rock Hill BOE

There will be a special meeting of the Rock Hill Local board of education at 6:30 p.m. at the board offices to discuss and possibly act on the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, dismissal, discipline or compensation of an employee; consider and possibly act on creating and posting a pre-school intervention teacher; and any other business that may be considered necessary to transact by the board.

Conservation Outreach Meeting

The Natural Resources Conservation Service will have an outreach meeting at 11 a.m., immediately following the Lawrence SWCD board meeting, at the Lawrence Soil and Water Conservation District Office, 5459 State Route 217. The Chesapeake Village Council will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall.

Black History Month Event

Reggie Hanson, a motivational speaker and life coach, will speak at 12:15 p.m. during a Community Diversity and Inclusion forum at Ashland Community and Technical College’s J.B. Sowards Theatre. Hanson was an All-SEC Conference player at the University of Kentucky and is president of Hanson Coaching & Consulting LLC.
