Nelsonville 2020 artists announced: Event takes place at Hocking College June 4-7

NELSONVILLE — The Nelsonville Music Festival has announced the first artists for the line-up of its 21st annual event, taking place from June 4-7.

Billy Strings, Ezra Furman, Nilüfer Yanya and The Ophelias are all set to play the four-day event, which is set for the grounds of Hocking College.

More artists and headliners will be announced in coming weeks.

The Nelsonville Music Festival, one of the largest in southern Ohio, features three stages of music, as well as local vendors and artisans.

Past performers have included Willie Nelson, Wilco, Merle Haggard, Jenny Lewis, Loretta Lynn, St. Vincent and the Avett Brothers.

Weekend passes and camping passes for the festival can be purchased in advance at http://nelsonvillefest.org/tickets/.

Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, which runs the festival, has also announced shows in the months leading up to the festival.

Town Mountain will perform at the opera house on Feb. 28, followed by Jonathan Richman and Bonnie “Prince” Billy on March 6 and Benjamin Gibbard on April 24.
