William Patterson

June 6, 1940– Feb. 12, 2020

William Robert Patterson, 79, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Mr. Patterson was born June 6, 1940, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Stanley and Audrey (Clay) Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willa D. Campbell Patterson, who passed away Nov. 29, 1968.

Mr. Patterson was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and was a retired laborer for Ironton Iron.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clay, John and Frank Patterson; and three sisters, Doris “Dot” Wilson, Juanita Roberts and Nan Byers.

He is survived by daughter, Sherry (Steve) Nance, of Coal Grove; son, William Dale (Tammy) Patterson, of Williamson, West Virginia; grandchildren, Jonlee Boggs, of Huntington, West Virginia, and Deanna M. Boggs of California; and great-grandchildren, Jonas Otta and Darrien Otta, of Coal Grove; and brother, Pete Patterson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Dr. Kevin Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be 5–7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ruby Boster

Ruby Lee Boster, 90, of Greenville, South Carolina, formerly of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be held 1–2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Linda Darnell Hutchison, 69, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.

No services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
