Gloria Delawder

Feb. 22, 2020–Feb. 13, 1934

Gloria Frances Delawder, 86, of Ironton, entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. She was born Feb. 13, 1934 to the late Erie and Ada Keaton Rowe.

She was a graduate of Pedro High School and a faithful member of the Kelly’s Bridge Independent Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Rowe; two sisters, Lavonne Meadows and Rose Stapleton; a son, Donald H. Delawder; a grandson, Donald H. Delawder II; a great-grandson Silas A. McFann; two son-in-laws, Darrell C. Heaberlin and Max D. Myers.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Donald R. Delawder, whom she married Sept. 25, 1951. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Heaberlin, Linda Myers and Amber Delawder; one son, Tim (Stella) Delawder; a daughter-in-law, Edna Baker-Delawder; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a very special buddy and caregiver, Paul Moore.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton with Pastor Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Slab Fork Cemetery and visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, and Wednesday from noon until time of funeral.

Kathy Harmon

Kathy Jean (Coleman) Harmon, 61, of Ironton, died on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Harmon.

A funeral service will be noon Tuesday at Tracy Brammer Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Pastor Trent Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Hanging Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

J. Maynard Thomas

J. Maynard Thomas, 71, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.

A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Ashland, Kentucky.

Kelli Dement

Kelli Dement, 52, of South Point, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Dement.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with her husband, Pastor Michael Dement and Rev. Pat Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Margaret Lewis

Margaret Elizabeth Dean Lewis, 89, of Chesapeake, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland, Kentucky.

There will be a graveside service noon Wednesday in Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Michael Wright officiating.
