The Inaugural Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Senior Classic will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at Chesapeake High School.
The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m. followed by the boys’ game at 7:30.
The girls’ East team head coach is Nick Miller of Coal Grove and the West coach is Mike Freeman of Ironton.
For the boys, Evan Salyers of Fairland will coach the boys’ East team and Chesapeake’s Matt Tomlinson will handling the boys’ head coaching duties for the West team.
The East team will be the home team.
The Senior Classic will utilize the Elam Ending time for the games with 8-minute quarters for the first three quarters and then the fourth quarter will be four minutes and then a media timeout. There will be no time on the clock.
After looking at the score of the team currently winning, an additional 8 points will be added and that will be the final target score.
For example, if the team with the winning total has 60 points at the 4-minute mark of the fourth quarter, then the first team to reach 68 points wins the team.
Admission is $5 at the door.
