Rosella Haney

July 18, 1925– March 19, 2020

Rosella (Rosie) Haney passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Community Hospice of Ashland. She was born July 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Shade and Minnie (Hanshaw) Hartley.

She was a resident of King’s Daughters and Sons Assisted Living in Ashland, Kentucky, at the time of her passing.

Rosie was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Charles A. Haney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Harold “Sonny” Hartley and William “Bill” Hartley; and sister, Hazel Vanover.

She is survived by her sons, Craig (Debbie) Haney and Keith (Ginger) Haney; and granddaughter, Heather (Matt) Mullens. Survivors include sisters, Maxine (John) Rauch, Yvonne (Chuck) Wheeler, Garnet (Robert) Worthington, Carol Adkins; friend, Bill Hammonds; brother, Clifford Hartley; sister-in-law Rita Hartley; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services were held Saturday at Woodland Cemetery with Okeefe-Baker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jason Beair

Jason Ray Beair, 40, of Pedro, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2020. He was the son of Nora VanMeter and Ray Beair.

He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and he attended Decatur Missionary Baptist Church.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mintie Shope; and grandfather, Alonzo Beair.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandfather, William Shope; an aunt, Penny Stapleton; an uncle, William Shope, Jr., all of Pedro; grandmother, Rosemary Beair; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Mack Shope officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mary Martin

Mary L. Martin, 77, of Kitts Hill, died Thursday, March 19, 2020.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Martin.

Graveside service will be Saturday at the Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum, Ashland, Kentucky.

Robert Murdock

Robert Noel Murdock, 69, of Lavalette, West Virginia, died Friday March 20, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Murdock.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, West Virginia. Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
