Stephen Edward Wymer

Dec. 29, 1968–March 31, 2020

Stephen Wymer, 51, husband of Jill Burcham-Wymer, passed away March 31, 2020 at home.

He was born in Ironton on Dec. 29, 1968 to parents, Ronald and Sherry May Wymer.

Stephen was a 1987 graduate of Raceland High School and a 1993 graduate of Morehead State University where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy.

He was employed at the AT&T call center in Grayson, Kentucky.

Stephen loved his family, friends and co-workers very much. When he wasn’t at work or at home with his wife and their pets, he liked to travel, play games at The Goblin Traders in Ironton and support his two favorite basketball teams, the Kentucky Wildcats and the San Antonio Spurs.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Jill Burcham-Wymer; his father, Ron (Bobbi) Wymer; sister Melissa Pearson; two sister-in-laws, Kim (Leo) Johnson and Jonda (Anthony) McDonald; four nephews; three nieces; and one great-nephew.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sherry May Wymer.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to everyone who has reached out to them to offer comfort and prayer.

A memorial service for Stephen will be held at a future date. O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home is handling services.
