Janice Miller

April 8, 1962–May 11, 2020

 

Janice Ann Miller, 58, of South Point, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

 

Janice was born April 8, 1962, in West Union, a daughter to the late Wendell and Phyllis Ann (Church) Miller.

Janice was a 1980 graduate of South Point High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Lick Creek Independent Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Chuck Miller, Ray Miller and Joe Miller.

 

She is survived by a sister, Debbie (Everett) Miller, of South Point; two brothers, Glen Miller and Dave (Nancy) Church, both of South Point; fiancé, Tim Dillon, of South Point; three children, Danyeal Dillon, Becky Dillon and Travis (Alissa) Dillon, all of Zanesville; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

 

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Brother Mike Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Tina Bailey

June 21, 1968–May 3, 2020

 

Tina Elizabeth Bailey, 51, of Ironton, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her residence.

 

Tina was born June 21, 1968 in Ironton, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Doris (Smith) Bailey.

 

Tina was a 1986 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a receptionist for BC Tool Rental. She enjoyed shopping and loved her two dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Allie Mae Sanders.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Misty Sanders; son, Jeremy Sanders, two brothers, Robert Bailey and Michael (Kim) Bailey; and her lifelong friend Mark Sanders; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends who will miss their “T.”

 

Graveside service will be noon Friday at Woodland Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Rachel Hayes

 

Rachel Elizabeth Baugh Hayes, 69, of Proctorville, died on Monday, May 11, 2020.

 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with her nephew, Pastor Tyler Sansom, officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be held 12:30–2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with The Eastern Star service at 1:40 p.m.

John Floyd Hart, 75, of Cleveland, formerly of Chesapeake, died on Friday, May 8, 2020, at the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice in Strongsville.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake. Visitation will one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.

Carolyn Joan Jones, 85, of Proctorville, died Monday May 11, 2020 at home.

 

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, with Pastor Jessie Lacey officiating. Visitation will be held 9:30–10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Jerry McIntyre Sr.

 

Jerry Gordon McIntyre, Sr., 79, of Scottown, died Sunday, May 10, 2020, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.

 

He is survived by his wife, Karen Luthy McIntyre.

 

Jerry wishes were to be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
