Patricia Rowe

April 21, 1965– Jan. 11, 2020

 

 

Patricia Kay Rowe, 54, of Kitts Hill, passed away at her residence on Jan. 11, 2020 under hospice care.

 

Patricia was born April 21, 1965.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Lee Bunker; her mother, Loretta Kay (Ashurts) Bunker; and her brother, Richard Lee Bunker.

 

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Jerry E. Rowe; sister, Michelle Bunk Pancake; niece, Taylor Rae (Tony) Wilson; great-niece, Ava Wilson; niece, Tori Leigh Pancake; great-nephew, Carter Pancake; and an untold number of children’s lives she touched throughout her lifetime.

 

She was a 1984 graduate of Rock Hill High School.

 

Patricia was a double lung transplant recipient on May 13, 2016 and at the request of Ohio State University Lung Transplant Team, at her death, the lungs were returned for future science study.

 

She has donated her body to the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Anatomical Research.

 

She worked as a florist and the blooming of springtime was her most favorite time of the year.

 

Graveside services will be noon Saturday at Woodland Cemetery with Reverend Timmy Maddy officiating.

Linda Layne

Jan. 14, 1941–May 17, 2020

 

Linda Bowman Layne, 79, of Coal Grove, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020.

 

Mrs. Layne was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Lawrence County, a daughter to the late Richard and Hattie (Delawder) Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Layne, who passed away Aug. 18, 2002.

 

Mrs. Layne was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Kenda Layne (Jeff) Harper, and sister, Norma Carol Pinkerman.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Kristina Layne, of Coal Grove and Kimberly Jane (Steve) McKnight, of Ironton; two granddaughters, Traci (Jimmy) Bailey, of Ironton and Kati (Jose) Rojas, of Stafford, Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Penelope Rojas, Diego Rojas and Kendria Bailey.

 

Private graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating.

Deborah McMillian

 

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn McMillian, 61, of South Point, died on May 15th, 2020, at her residence.

 

She is survived by her husband, Jack McMillian.

 

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, West Virginia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Florence Short

 

Florence “Sis” Short, 62, of Chesapeake, died at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

 

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
