Motorists headed west bound on U.S. 52 by the Ashland bridge had a bit of surprise after a tree fell onto the highway on Wednesday morning.

A tree fell from the hillside and blocked the right lane. The Coal Grove Police Department blocked the lane while a crew from the Coal Grove Fire Department took a chainsaw to remove the obstacle.
