Chesapeake BOE Meeting

The Chesapeake Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the purchase of property and district operations. The meeting will be held online and a live stream of the meeting can be accessed on the school website, https://www.peake.k12.oh.us/

Coal Grove Council Special Meeting

The Coal Grove Village Council will meet at 6 p.m. at the Jae Roush Community Building. It will be closed to the public due to COVID-19, but can be viewed on Facebook Live under Village of Coal Grove-Government.

Ironton Farmers Market

The Ironton Farmers Market is at Market Square on Second Street in Ironton from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or until vendors sell out. The market’s vendors are from Lawrence County and surrounding counties and offer a variety of goods from seasonal produce like gourds and pumpkins, baked goods, honey, eggs, homemade candy, homemade crafts and flowers.

Saturday

Lions Club Yard Sale

The Lions Club will have their annual yard sale, weather permitting, starting at 8 a.m., at 1540 State Route 93, Ironton. They are taking steps to sanitize and the keep the event safe from COVID-19.

The Ironton Farmers Market is at Market Square on Second Street in Ironton from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or until vendors sell out. The market’s vendors are from Lawrence County and surrounding counties and offer a variety of goods from seasonal produce like gourds and pumpkins, baked goods, honey, eggs, homemade candy, homemade crafts and flowers.

Hanging Rock Village Council

Hanging Rock Village Council will meet 8 a.m. at the Hanging Rock Municipal Building, 400 Main St, in Hanging Rock. The public is invited to attend.

Sunday

First Southern Baptist Church

First Southern Baptist Church will resume services at 11 a.m. on June 7. The service will be outside under a shelter. People are asked to bring a lawn chair. Families are asked to maintain a six foot social distance. Facemasks and hand sanitizer recommended. The church asks people to register on their Facebook page.

Ironton City Council Meeting

The Ironton City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the City Center. The meeting is not open to the public, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The public can view the meeting on Facebook at Ironton Ohio City Council Live.

Fairland BOE Meeting

The Fairland Board of Education will have its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. However, due to Gov. Mike DeWine’s orders regarding public gatherings and social distancing, the public will not be able to attend this meeting in person. The Lawrence County Land Reutilization Corporation will meet at noon at 327 Vernon St., Ironton.
