CHESAPEAKE — The Village of Chesapeake has filled its street commissioner position.

Tendoy Huffman, who had been serving as interim street commissioner, was promoted to the permanent position at the meeting of council on Feb. 22, council member Katie Bentley said.

Huffman took the position last fall, following the resignation of the previous street commissioner, Danny Burd.
