Ronald Paige Gannon, 84, of Ironton, passed away Nov. 30, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton.
He was born May 30, 1939, the son of the late John and Mary (Perlick) Gannon.
He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Harmon) Gannon, after 66 years of marriage.
Ronald was a 1957 graduate of Rock Hill High School and then joined the United States Air Force. He retired from the Local 798, Tulsa, Oklahoma, after 40-plus years as a master welder.
Ronald also was a mechanic and enjoyed restoring vintage motorcycles, was a Ham radio operator and a licensed pilot.
In his later years he enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John C. Gannon, Billie “Willie” Gannon and Harold Gannon; and twelve sisters, Myrtle Hankins, Ethel Salyers, Carrie Gannon, Margaret Sutton, Vadia Kitts, Clarene Hammonds, Megaline Gannon, Pegaline Gannon, Lexie “Jean” Frier, Betty “Joan” Wienger, Lois Site and Glenna Plymale.
Those left to cherish his memory are four children, Rhonda (David) Pemberton, of Ironton, Brian (Mary) Gannon, of Ironton, Angela (David) Brammer, of Ironton and Mirinda Gannon, of Ironton; grandchildren, Davina (Steve) Terry, Chad (Kim) Pemberton, David Michael (Bri) Pemberton, Mycah (Christopher) Pemberton Sizemore, Courtney (Alen) Defranceschi, Brittany (Allen) Lewis, April (Josh) Ackison, Byron Brammer, Ashton Brammer, Andrew Brammer, Alexis Brammer, Tyler Brammer, Rebecca Marshall and Abigail Marshall; great grandchildren, Hunter Pemberton, Brady (Laura) Pemberton, Lillyann Pemberton, Ethan (Kara) Terry, Justin Terry, Megan (Chad) Locke, Zoe Terry, Aria Pemberton, Esther Pemberton, Unafaye Pemberton, Colin Sizemore, Jennings Sizemore, Ellen Sizemore, Lorelei Lewis, Easton Lewis, Sadie Brammer and Justin Ackison.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton with Bro. Dave Schug and Bro. Chad Pemberton officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, 198 Private Road 589, South Point.
Visitation will from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
