PROCTORVILLE — Talk about making short work of your opponent.

The Fairland Lady Dragons made 12 3-point goals and built a 55-point halftime lead en route to an 82-16 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Gallipolis Blue Angels on Monday.

Kylee Bruce led Fairland (2-0, 1-0) with 22 points. Kamryn Barnitz scored 15 and Bailey Russell added 13.

Barnitz hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points, Bruce made a triple and scored 9 points while Russell had a pair of 3s and scored 8 points as Fairland roared to 33-6 lead in the first quarter.

The lead ballooned to 63-8 at the half as Isa Taliaferro and Bruce each scored 7 points and Hannah Taylor scored all 6 of her points.

Addison Godby, Bree Allen, Bruce and Taliaferro all sank 3-pointers in the quarter.

Fairland visits Rock Hill on Thursday.
