Ball nets 29 points to lead Chesapeake by Greenup Co.

LLOYD, Ky. — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers had a Ball.

The Lady Panthers had a great time on Saturday because they beat the Greenup County Lady Musketeers 41-30 thanks to Kate Ball who scored a career-high 29 points.

Ball also had 5 steals and teammate Abbey Isaac hauled down 14 rebounds and added 6 points.

Maddy Steele scored 8 points for Greenup County (3-10).

Ball started the game with the hot hand as she drilled a pair of 3-pointers and scored 12 points in the first quarter.

Bella Stith and Katie Shaffer hit 3-pointers for Greenup.

Ball didn’t let up in the second quarter as she drained a pair of shots from behind the arc and scored 10 points as Chesapeake went up 28-14 at the half.

The Lady Panthers (5-5) went cold in the third quarter with Ball’s basket the only score and Greenup cut the lead to 30-23.

But In the fourth quarter, Abbey Isaacs hit a trifecta as she scored 5 points while Ball knocked down another trey and went 2-of-4 at the foul line.

Steele had 4 points for the Lady Musketeers.
