Anochili-Killen named NABC All-District 23 2nd team

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Men’s Basketball senior forward Obinna Anochili-Killen was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 23 Second Team on Tuesday morning.

The Lagos, Nigeria, native averaged 14.4 points and 5.9 rebounds with 33 blocks this season as he 44.4 percent from the field and 32.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Anochili-Killen registered three double-doubles this season, including one on February 3 in a win over Coastal Carolina when he grabbed 10 rebounds and tallied a career-high 30 points.

In the forward’s 30 contests during the 2023-24 campaign, he scored 10 or more points in 21 contests with eight games of 20 or more points.

Anochili-Killen sits high in the record books as he plans on returning for his COVID season next year ranking tied for 37th in points at 1,220, 15th with 117 games played and second in blocked shots at 185, 12 away from breaking Jannson Williams record of 196.
