The sophomore becomes just the second player in program history to earn multiple conference weekly honors in a single season joining former MLB pitcher Aaron Blair who did so in 2013.

Blevins turned in a fantastic performance on the road in his first career SBC start at Southern Miss on Saturday. He threw 9.0-plus innings of one-run baseball allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out four Golden Eagles all on just 90 pitches.

The left-handed hurler carried a no-hitter through 7.1 frames. Blevins was pulled after facing one batter in the bottom of the 10th and received a standing ovation for his effort on the road at Pete Taylor Park.

Blevins’ 1.50 ERA ranks 21st nationally, second in the SBC, with his 30.0 innings pitched leading the conference across a pair of starts and four relief outings.

Herd Baseball is back in action on Wednesday when it travels to Morgantown to face-off with the West Virginia Mountaineers at 3:30 p.m.
