This workshop is for all business owners interested in learning about the inter-workings of Name, Image and Likeness and its impact on both businesses and Marshall athletes.

“For years, our local businesses have supported Marshall Athletics, and now is the time that Marshall Athletics and student-athletes help support local businesses through NIL endorsements,” said Sean Tuttle, Marshall Athletics’ Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. “The NIL workshop is an opportunity for our local businesses to hear first-hand how NIL is impacting our community, how they can see a return on their investment and meet our student-athletes face-to-face.”

The event offers local business leaders an opportunity to hear a panel discussion from both the student-athlete and business perspectives from those who have previously been involved with NIL, outlining its benefits and purpose.

Thos wishing to sign up for the event can do so HERE. A table display option is available for $100 and includes six admissions for a business to the event and inclusion to the career fair portion where student-athletes will meet with businesses looking to network within the NIL framework.

There is also an individual ticket available for $25 that grants admission to the panel discussion. All businesses signing up for the event, need to register with Herd Exchange to be an approved NIL partner. That can be done HERE.

 The event gets started at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-reception that features a heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar during a 30-minute meet-and-greet.

At 7 p.m., the panel discussion will start with student-athletes giving their perspective on the impact of NIL, followed by chosen business leaders who will speak on the benefits of becoming involved in their business.

“Since partnering with Marshall athletes, I’ve expanded the reach of my business within the university,” said Rebecca Thomas of True Soul Boutique. “It has grown my audience and I’ve gained new shoppers. I’ve also received amazing content from doing NIL deals!”

For those who purchase the table display, the career fair portion of the event starts at 7:40 p.m.

Those wishing to attend the event need to respond no later than March 22 to be included.

Those purchasing table displays can begin setup for their table within Cam Henderson Center starting at 5:30 p.m.
