Shonnie Butler

April 7, 1971– March 18, 2024

 

Shonnie Lee Butler, 52, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. Shonnie was born in Ironton on April 7, 1971, to the late Ida Belle (Turvey) Butler and the late Lonnie L “Pidy” Butler.
She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family, drinking a cold beer, anything outdoors and she dearly loved all of her grandbabies.
Shonnie was preceded, in death in addition to her parents, by a grandson, Carson Levi Anson; two brothers, George William Hamberg and Charles Eugene “Gene” Hamilton; and three sisters, Thelma Stevens, Mary Ruggles and Angela Clark.
She is survived by two daughters, Trista (Vincent) Hanshaw, of South Point, and Tiffany (Billy) Waddell, of Ironton; a brother, David “Bruser”(Angela) Butler, of Pedro; two sisters, Brenda Collins, of Ironton, and Diana Hamilton, of South Point; eight grandchildren, Addison Christian, Isabella Aldridge, Demi Aldridge-Matney, Remington Vanderhoof, Joseph, Amelia, Beckham, and Arianna Waddell; her best friend/lifelong partner, her dog Buddy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
There will be a visitation 6–8 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S> Seventh St., Ironton.
