PROCTORVILLE — Do you like a pitcher’s duel or a slugfest? Well, fans got both on Saturday.

The Fairland Lady Dragons used a the 4-hit pitching of Kylee Salyer and the walk-off home run of Hailey Sammons to edge the Unioto Lady Shermans 2-1 only to have Unioto with the nightcap 15-7.

Megan Miller hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to give Unioto a 1-0 lead. Madi McKinley singled with one out in the fifth and Sammons followed with her game-winner.

Salyer struck out 8 in the 5-inning game.  Katy Bell was 2-2 as Fairland managed just 4 hits.

In the second game, Unioto had 14 hits en route to the win.

Alex Book was 3-4 with a 2-run homer, Morgan Daniels 2-3, Abbie Miller 1-2 and Miller 1-1 with a home run.

Fairland had 10 hits as Makenna Black was 2-4, Salyer 1-3 with a 2-run homer, Katie Dehart 2-2, Jordan Spencer 1-2, Bell 202 and McKinley 1-3.
