The provided lunch will include hotdogs, chips and soda. The Forest encourages everyone to dress appropriately for the weather, including bringing hats and sunscreen.

For additional safety of fishing derby attendees, the Lake Vesuvius boat ramp will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. the day of the event, but is anticipated to reopen by 2 p.m.

Event partners include the Ohio Division of Natural Resources (ODNR), Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District, Gillispie’s 93 CarryOut, National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Lawrence County Bass Club, Symmes Creek Restoration Committee and Keep It Green Ohio.
