Ironton had been proving to hit up and down its lineup and they did just that on Tuesday in a 13-5 rout of the Meigs Lady Marauders in the Division 3 district semifinals.

Different parts of Ironton’s lineup hit from day to day, but there are occasions when everyone hits.

“It’s kind of been like that lately. I like it,” said Ironton coach Jim Dyer with a grin. “We had a few errors today, but we had a huge trade off at the plate.”

The trade off Dyer was speaking about was the home run power the Lady Tigers displayed as Graycie Brammer, Khamil Martin and Bella Sorbilli all hit home runs.

Ironton (19-5) will play South Webster on Thursday at Unioto High School at approximately 5:30 p.m. South Webster beat Rock Hill 11-1.

Meigs (17-7) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Delana Wright reached on an error, Jayna Wright got a bunt single and Mallory Adams had a two-run double.

But Ironton answered with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning.

Khamil Martin singled and Aubrey Ferguson doubled with Martin scoring. Ferguson went to third on the throw home and scored on a throwing error.

Katelyn Moore singled, Braylin Wallace walked and Bella Sorbilli drilled a 3-run home run.

The Lady Fighting Tigers came back with 3 more runs in the second.

Katie Williams led off the inning with a double and Graycie Brammer followed with a 2-run home run to left.

Martin made it back-to-back home runs with a blast to center field.

The Lady Fighting Tigers extended the lead to 12-2 in the fourth inning.

With one out, Brammer was hit by a pitch, Martin had a ground rule double, and Ferguson doubled both runners home. Moore singled  home Ferguson, Wallace singled, Sorbilli walked and a wild pitch scored courtesy runner Jenna Compliment.

Meigs got a pair of runs in the fifth inning.

Chloe Burnem led off with a single and scored on a double by Delena Wright. Jayna Wright followed with an RBI single.

Ironton got a run back in the bottom of the inning to lead 13-4.

Williams singled, Brammer hit into a force play, Martin grounded out as Brammer went to third and Ferguson had an RBI single.

The final Meigs run scored in the seventh when Jayna Wright singled, Mallory Adams doubled  and Wright stole home.

Wallace went the distance for the win as she struck out 2, walked 2 and only 3 of the runs were earned.

Brammer went 2-3 with a double, home run and 2 RBI, Martin 3-4 with a double, home run and RBI, Ferguson 3-4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI, Moore 2-4, Sorbilli 1-3 with a a home run and 3 RBI, Williams 2-3 with a double, Wallace 1-3 and Townsend 1-4.
