Gerald Vaughn

Gerald (Jerry) William Vaughn, 81, of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jennifer Coburn Vaughn.

Jerry is a 1962 graduate of Rock Hill High School, U.S. Marine veteran and retired from AT&T.

Gerald is a member of Ice Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Charles and Helen Vaughn, Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Louise Stewart, Jack Vaughn, Charles Vaughn and Nancy Huff; and children, Scott Vaughn and Craig Vaughn.

He is survived by sibling, Barbara Dransfield; children, Angela (Jimmy) Carey and Gregg (Georgia) Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Michelle Vaughn; five grandchildren, Nicole (Wes) Lingerfelt, Zach (Tracy) Carey, Allie (David) Skaggs, Autumn (Ryan) Noon, Emily Vaughn and Ellie Vaughn, and ten great grandchildren: Alyssa Adams, Elijah Adams, Brooke Carey, Jonah Adams, Carter Carey, Carleigh Sutton, Cailey Carey, Cooper Skaggs, Whitley Lingerfelt and Cole Skaggs.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.–noon Thursday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 South Sixth St., Ironton.

Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Ice Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 5121 State Route 243, Ironton, with son-in-law, Jimmy Carey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery.
