Request patrols – 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, people with flashlights reportedly in alley. Nothing unusual at this time.

Vandalism – 600 block of South Eighth Street, 4:06 p.m. Tuesday, woman reports someone vandalized her truck.

Trouble – Ninth and Mulberry, 4:28 p.m. Tuesday, man reports man following him saying he stole vehicle. Civil matter, all advised.

Trouble – 800 block of North Sixth Street, 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, woman reportedly trying to start fight.

Domestic – 400 block of South Fourth Street, 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, man reportedly slapped girlfriend. One to sheriff’s office.

Shots fired – Eighth and Latonia, 11:38 p.m. Tuesday, checked area, negative contact.

Benjamin D. Lunsford, 29, of 404 1/2 South Fourth St., Ironton, domestic violence Tuesday by the Ironton Police Department.

Kenneth R. Jenkins, 46, of 2491 County Road 5, Ironton, capias for arrest Tuesday by the sheriff’s office.

Steven Triplett, 33, of 9669 State Route 141, Kitts Hill, taken to court for review Tuesday by the sheriff’s office.

Timothy Williams, 38, of 7080 Edison Ave., Labelle, Fla., taken to court for review Tuesday by the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff’s office

Cruelty to animals – 100 block of Private Road 120, South Point, Sept. 11, officers responding to a report of a fight arrive to allegedly find a dog that was in a state of malnutrition. Richard A. Rice, 18, of 140 Private Drive 3367, County Road 120, South Point, arrested for animal cruelty and domestic violence.

Disrupting public services, domestic violence – 1600 block of Township Road 158, Chesapeake Saturday, man allegedly punched his wife, then ripped phone wire out. Suspect named.

Domestic violence – 100 block of Township Road 1335, South Point, man allegedly punched wife, grabbed her hair and threw her down. Suspect named.

Domestic violence – 600 block of County Road 12, Proctorville Monday, man allegedly grabbed ex-wife and pushed her down. Suspect named.

Theft – 1000 block of Township Road 218, Ironton, Tuesday, man reports the license plate was taken off his car.

Criminal trespass – 27 Township Road 1410, South Point Tuesday, man reportedly went on neighbor’s property to retrieve his cats that the neighbor had caught in a live trap. Suspect named.

Theft – 1300 block of County Road 1A, Ironton, Tuesday, worker at Duke Energy reports seeing two holes in fence, and heater in weeds outside the fence. Witness reports seeing two suspects with masks on a four-wheeler when the heater fell off the back of the vehicle.
