Pointers slip past Clay, 1-0

SOUTH POINT — The South Point Pointers scored a first half goal and made it stand up in a 1-0 win over the Portsmouth Clay Panthers on Saturday.

Michael Lien scored an unassisted goal at the 30-minute mark and the Pointers’ defense took over from there.

Brady Rickard had six saves for the Pointers who is now 5-2-3 on the season.

South Point plays at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Ohio Valley Christian.
