SOUTH WEBTER — The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers just ran out of innings.

It took four innings to zero in on South Webster pitcher Kendra Clark, but when they did they began to hit the ball well.

The problem was Ironton ran out of time as the Lady Tigers fell 11-7 to the Lady Jeeps Tuesday.

“(Clark) is a good pitcher who had a good curveball, nice fastball and an awesome change-up,” said Ironton coach Missy Fields. “My girls took a few innings to get the timing down to hit her.”

Mercedes Crockrel went 2-5 with two doubles and Nikki Elswick 2-4 to lead Ironton’s offense.

Ironton is at Wayne, W.Va., Wednesday and then hosts Symmes Valley Thursday and Chillicothe Friday.
