South Point rips Raiders

CHESHIRE — It was a team effort.

The South Point Pointers used four pitchers and seven different players had hits in a 13-3 Ohio Valley Conference win over the River Valley Raiders Monday.

Tyler Smith — who was credited with the win — Kyle Hughes, Beau Weed and Kyle Winkler teamed up to limit the Raiders to seven hits.

Kyle Dickess, Jacob Seagraves and Smith had three hits each as the Pointers banged out 15 hits. Weed and Hughes had two hits each while Blake Meadows and Steven McClure also had hits.

The Pointers are now 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in the OVC. River Valley fell to 0-8, 0-3.
