Ironton fire

Odor investigation — 400 block of Lorain Street Wednesday, odor isolated and building ventilated to eliminate the problem.

— 275 N. 3rd Street Wednesday, firefighters assisted SEOEMS with entry into an apartment and firefighters assisted the ambulance crew with packaging the patient for transport.

Ironton police

Shot cat— 500 block Vine Street Tuesday, cat reportedly shot, officers determined cat shot with air gun, returned to owner.

Trouble— 2500 block South Third Street Tuesday, woman reportedly trying to force way into residence, negative contact.

Trouble— 400 block North Fifth Street Tuesday, man and woman in disagreement, moved on.

Trouble— 700 block Vernon Street Tuesday, man reportedly threatened with gun, suspect named.

Shots fired — Pursuit— Seventh and walnut streets Wednesday, two males and one female juvenile located and taken to police station, Nathan Jenkins, 18, 255 Township Road 277, Ironton, charged with failure to comply with the order and signal of a police officer, reckless operation, fictitious registration, driving under suspension and tail light malfunction, Aaron Elswick, 20, 2444 S. Sixth St., Ironton, arrested on outstanding warrant, both taken to jail, female juvenile released to parents.

Theft— Sherman Thompson Towers Wednesday, tires taken from vehicle.

Theft— 2400 block South 11th Street Wednesday, catalytic converter taken from vehicle.

Assault— Reported at police station Wednesday, man reportedly assaulted, no location given.

Fight— 2200 block North Seventh Street Wednesday, one woman taken to Fourth and Mulberry streets.

Man with gun— Illusions, Fourth and Center streets Wednesday, man in bar reportedly carrying gun, located and taken to police station.

County jail

— William D. Fannin, 52, Catlettsburg, Ky., carrying a concealed weapon Thursday by the Ironton Police Department.

— Monte Hawthorne, 43, 66 County Road 450, South Point, commitment Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
